In use
Nobody looks for documents in a footstool. Slide it under a desk or beside a sofa and it earns its floor space twice. The seat is faux leather that wipes clean. The lining is three layers of silicone-coated fiberglass, rated to 2000°F. Handles on the sides help you move it full.
Check before you buy
- You have floor space 17 x 13 in.
- You want storage that does not look like storage.
- Flat files or soft items are what you will put in.
Pick another one if
It has no rails for hanging folders, so papers go in flat or in a folder of their own. It is furniture for indoors. If you need a bench for the foot of a bed, the 43 in version holds more than three times as much.

Easy to get it ready to use and the right size for me
Easy to assemble since one is basically unfolding a box and put a support piece on the inside bottom. I cleaned and have already sat and stood on the ottoman. I weigh under 150 lbs., and the box had no problem supporting my weight. I do not own any jewelry and no safety deposit box so I am storing most paper items that might be important to retain in the box. Not important if the lock is effective since I do not plan to lock it. I just wanted the fireproof feature and am not going to test it before writing this review. Since I am placing it close to where I sit, I flipped the lid upside down and it is flat so I can put a plate or cup on it. I am 5-7 do I can sit on it for a brief period but since it is lower than knee level, I doubt will want to sit too long on it even though it is cushioned. All the functions meet my needs on this small piece of furniture.
It works great.
For storage, it's great. Had a big surprise with the ability to lock the zipper pulls to a combination lock that can be changed with included instructions. Only thing, don't think this is one you can set on at the end of your bed. Maybe a small child could but the way this pops open, I can't trust anyone over 100 pounds for any lenth of time. But that's just my thinking.
Functional with some stability.
Very easy set up. Color is a rich brown. Great storage space! Wish was a bit more solid. Overall good buy for the price.
Perfect
Multifunctional and super cute and sturdy. I highly recommend this. I got the pink one
